Sclerotherapy FOR THREAD VEINS
Thread veins are superficial thin blue veins that are visible below the surface of the skin. Thread veins are common and tend to develop in legs over time and can be caused by trauma, prolonged standing, or they can just appear on their own.
TREATABLE AREAS
Legs
Arms (but not ankles, feet or faces)
BENEFITS
Reduction of appearance of thread veins on limbs.
TREATMENT
After a thorough assessment, a small amount of sclerosing liquid is injected with precision into the affected small veins, which makes the walls of the veins get sticky and stick together sealing off the unsightly veins, so they are no longer visible. Usually only one treatment session is needed, although extensive areas may need two treatment sittings.
Sclerotherapy Process
Post-treatment
To maximise the final cosmetic result you will need to wear compression stockings, avoid heavy leg exercise and avoid excessive heat such hot baths and saunas for the first week, to allow the veins to heal nicely.
